Gabriel Thomas Tugendstein
PhD Student in Philosophy, Florida State University
I, owner of the face looming above, am in my first year of the PhD program in Florida State's Department of Philosophy. Broadly speaking, I am interested in how people — intentionally and unintentionally — choose to tell the story of their lives and their interactions with others. This leads me to areas of study like Moral Psychology (how and when to blame, to love, to forgive, etc), Cognitive Science (how to reconcile the way we talk about memory, imagination, and decision-making with the 'hard science'), and Identity (the ways in which people define themselves and how those definitions influence their behavior).
